Kazna Asker
FASHION DESIGNER & FOUNDER, KAZNA ASKER
Kazna Asker is a British-Yemeni fashion designer and activist based between London and Sheffield, whose label has become one of the most culturally distinctive and community-driven voices on the London Fashion Week schedule. A graduate of Central Saint Martins MA Fashion (2022), Kazna made history as the first designer to present a hijabi collection at the CSM MA Ready-to-Wear show. Her work fuses Yemeni heritage with Northern English streetwear culture — combining abayas, thobes, and Middle Eastern textiles with tracksuit silhouettes and waterproof nylons — to tell the story of her community with honesty and pride.
Kazna is a British Fashion Council NEWGEN member, winner of the Fashion Trust Arabia Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award (2022), and has appeared on the Dazed 100 MENA list. She has shown at London Fashion Week and Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, raised over £20,000 for causes including Palestine and Yemen, and delivered a two-day community souk at LFW in collaboration with TANK Magazine. Her work consistently foregrounds activism alongside design — from short films and community fundraisers to panel talks at Sheffield Town Hall.
At the Creative Futures Summit, Kazna will speak to what it means to build a fashion brand rooted in identity, community, and purpose — and how the next generation of designers can hold onto what matters most in an industry that often asks them to compromise.
