Martyn Roberts

Founder & Director, Fashion Scout

Martyn Roberts is the founder and director of Fashion Scout, the UK's largest independent showcase for emerging and established design talent, held during London Fashion Week at Freemasons' Hall. Originally from New Zealand, Martyn came to London in the late 1990s and built his career in fashion PR before identifying a critical gap in the market for an accessible, high-quality platform where emerging designers could showcase their work.

Since founding Fashion Scout in 2006, Martyn has championed and launched the careers of some of the world's most celebrated designers, including Iris Van Herpen, Gareth Pugh, Peter Pilotto, and David Koma. He has produced over 400 catwalk shows, expanded Fashion Scout into Paris and South East Europe, and served as Managing and Creative Director of Graduate Fashion Week. He is a regular guest lecturer, international fashion week juror, and business mentor for emerging designer brands.

At the Creative Futures Summit, Martyn will draw on nearly two decades of experience building and scaling Fashion Scout to share his insights on how emerging designers can navigate the industry, find platforms that champion their work, and build sustainable fashion businesses from the ground up.
