Tolu Coker

BRITISH-NIGERIAN FASHION DESIGNER & FOUNDER, TOLU COKER

Tolu Coker is a British-Nigerian fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist based in London, whose eponymous label has rapidly become one of the most celebrated and socially resonant brands on the London Fashion Week schedule. A graduate of Central Saint Martins with a First Class degree in Fashion Design and Textile Print, Tolu officially launched her label in 2021, drawing on her Yoruba heritage and the politics of diaspora identity to create largely unisex collections rooted in sustainability, artisan craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.

Tolu has amassed an extraordinary array of accolades: British Fashion Council NEWGEN Award 2023–2024, Forbes 30 Under 30 (2022), Prada x Theaster Gates Experimental Design Lab Award, Net-A-Porter Vanguard Programme, and a cover feature as one of British Vogue's January 2024 'Sustainability Trailblazers'. Her designs have been worn by Rihanna, Doechii, Tyla, Ariana Grande, and Little Simz, and her SS26 film featured Naomi Campbell. She interned at Céline under Phoebe Philo, JW Anderson, and Maison Margiela.

On the Designer's Journey panel, Tolu will speak to building a fashion brand that refuses to separate creativity from social purpose — sharing her experience of launching from scratch, earning industry recognition, and staying true to craft and community in a commercial landscape that often demands otherwise.
