PEM is a contemporary fashion brand rooted in African heritage, driven by storytelling, identity, and cultural preservation. Founded by Nigerian designer Princess Ene Mary Obeya, the label explores fashion as a medium for artistic expression, womanhood, and spiritual dialogue.
Shaped by a deep connection to her Idoma heritage, Ene’s creative language is informed by ritual, symbolism, and ancestral memory. Drawing from traditional ceremonial dress and reinterpreting it through a modern, global lens, PEM creates silhouettes that are both expressive and refined, honouring the past while speaking to the present.
At its core, the brand is committed to preserving cultural narratives and celebrating sacred femininity through contemporary design. Each collection acts as a canvas where heritage meets innovation, blending ceremonial references, layered textures, fringe, and symbolic detailing with bold, modern forms. PEM positions fashion as more than adornment—using clothing as a vessel for empowerment, cultural continuity, and purposeful self-expression.
